Job summary

Love Recruitment International is seeking a Regional Manager in Amsterdam to own a portfolio of roughly 15 clubs, driving commercial performance and operational standards through Club Managers. This hands-on role combines field leadership with strategic input as the region scales.

You will coach managers on sales fundamentals, report to the Operations Director, and shape regional execution with a focus on safety, standards, and staff development. Regular on-site visits are required.

• Portfolio of at least five locations with full P&L ownership.
• Comfortable on gym floor with hands-on leadership.
• Proven track record in driving sales and retention through a team.

Responsibilities

• Take full day-to-day accountability for around 15 clubs across commercial results, operations and standards.
• Drive sales, conversion, retention, member satisfaction and quality through Club Managers.
• Coach Club Managers on leadership during regular on-site visits.
• Implement fast improvement plans when a club underperforms and ensure delivery.
• Report results, risks and opportunities to the Operations Director weekly.
• Collaborate with HR, Marketing, Finance and Maintenance to get things done.
• Escalate and resolve maintenance and safety issues to protect continuity.

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Our client is one of Europe's fastest-growing gym operators. They're looking for a Regional Manager in Amsterdam to take full ownership of a portfolio of roughly 15 clubs, with accountability for commercial performance, operational standards, and the Club Managers who deliver both.

This is a multi-site fitness management role for someone who leads from the floor rather than from a spreadsheet. One day you're coaching a Club Manager on sales fundamentals and having the honest conversation about why conversion has slipped, the next you're presenting your regional plan to the Operations Director and pushing back where you need to. The group is scaling quickly, which means the person who takes this on will be shaping how a growing region actually runs, not inheriting a finished playbook.

On offer is up to €60,000 gross plus 8% holiday pay and a bonus linked to staffing cost, sales performance and audit standards, a lease car, a culture that genuinely rates operators over administrators, and real scope to grow as the estate expands.

Working pattern:

Full time, based across the region with regular on-site club visits.

Key responsibilities:

• Portfolio ownership: Take full day-to-day accountability for around 15 clubs across commercial results, operations and standards.
• Commercial performance: Drive sales, conversion, retention, member satisfaction and operational quality through your Club Managers rather than around them.
• People development: Coach Club Managers into stronger leaders through regular on-site visits, with real feedback rather than observation.
• Turnaround: Put clear, fast improvement plans in place when a club falls short, and hold the line on delivery.
• Stakeholder management: Report weekly to the Operations Director on results, risks and opportunities, and work closely with HR, Marketing, Finance and Maintenance to get things done.
• Standards and safety: Escalate and resolve maintenance and facility issues so that safety and continuity are never in question.

About you:

• Multi-site experience: You have run a portfolio of at least five locations with full P&L ownership, not one or two sites.
• Operational first: You are comfortable on the gym floor and in the detail, with strategy as your second instinct rather than your first.
• Commercially sharp: You have a track record of driving sales and retention results through a team.
• Data-led: You use KPIs to diagnose problems and prioritise action, not simply to report numbers upwards.
• Senior stakeholder confidence: You can present, influence and challenge at Operations Director level and above.
• A coaching leader: You develop managers rather than manage them, and you are comfortable with the difficult conversations.
• Resilient: This is a big region and some weeks are genuinely hard, so a clear head matters.
• Sector background: Fitness, hospitality, retail or another fast-paced, consumer-facing multi-site business, with pre-opening or pre-selling experience and exposure to membership or subscription models all a strong plus.
