Optiver is offering a Software Engineering Intern role in Amsterdam, working side-by-side with mentors to build software for real-time trading environments. You will design, develop, and ship code to production while learning from experienced engineers.

You will tackle complex problems in a fast-paced, data-rich trading context and gain exposure to production systems and collaboration with traders and researchers to refine requirements.

Qualifications

• Penultimate-year student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in C++, Python, or Java with a strong understanding of computer architecture.
• Interest in the financial industry and desire to work on production-grade systems.

Responsibilities

• Build foundational software for Optiver’s real-time trading environment.
• Design, develop, test, and ship code to production with mentors.
• Tackle real-world engineering problems and improve system reliability.
• Collaborate with traders and researchers to understand requirements and feedback.
