Job summary

Optiver Holding BV invites penultimate-year computer science/engineering students for a 10-week Software Engineer Internship starting in 2027. You will work closely with mentors to design, implement, test, and ship code that supports our real-time trading environment in production.

You’ll gain exposure to trading fundamentals, collaborate with engineers and traders, and tackle real-world engineering problems while contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Penultimate-year student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to work full time in 2028 after graduation.
• Strong programming foundation in C++, Python, or Java; understanding of computer architecture and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, testing, and shipping code to production.
• Learn from engineers and traders to understand requirements and feedback.
• Contribute to building and optimizing trading system infrastructure.
