Optiver is offering a Software Engineer Internship starting in 2026. You will work side-by-side with mentors and teammates to build real‑world applications, test your code, and ship features to production during a ten‑week program.

You’ll dive into trading fundamentals, collaborate with senior engineers and traders, and tackle challenging problems to improve performance and efficiency. The internship includes a highly competitive compensation package, flights and accommodation in the city

Qualifications

Penultimate year student in Computer Science, with ability to work full time upon graduation in 2027.
Passionate for clean code and well‑architected systems.
Proficient in C++, Python, or Java with a strong understanding of computer architecture.
Entrepreneurial attitude and interest in the financial industry.
Analytical mindset and strong problem‑solving skills.
Able to work closely with other engineers, traders and business operations.

Responsibilities

Deep dive into trading fundamentals, from theoretical concepts to financial markets, strategies and technology.
Design, develop, test, and ship code to production with senior engineers and traders.
Tackle complex, real‑world problems to enhance thinking and problem‑solving skills.
