Job summary

Adyen in Amsterdam is seeking a Merchant Fraud Analyst to join the Merchant Fraud team. You will identify, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activities across acquiring, banking and issuing services, helping maintain platform integrity and user trust.

You’ll monitor patterns in real-time, help develop detection systems, and contribute to incident response and recovery processes while collaborating with Compliance, Product and other Ops teams.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of fraud experience at a financial institution.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Knowledge of multiple forms of fraud: APP fraud, account take-overs, shopper and merchant collusion, synthetic identity fraud.
• Willingness to make difficult decisions and learn from experience; data-driven decision making.
• Independent and collaborative; able to work across teams and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate transaction patterns and user behavior in real-time to detect fraud.
• Assist in developing and optimizing fraud detection systems and tools.
• Develop and optimize policies and procedures for incident response, funds recovery and communication.
• Manage fraud recall handling, coordinating with banks and networks to recover funds where possible.
• Stay up-to-date with fraud trends and technologies to enhance detection and prevention methods.
