Job summary

Michael Page (Netherlands) is seeking an experienced FP&A Specialist to join the finance team in Amsterdam. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning while delivering monthly reports, dashboards, and performance analyses to senior leadership.

The role requires 7+ years in FP&A or related finance fields, with preference for real estate/asset management exposure. Strong Excel and Power BI skills, and fluency in English (Dutch preferred) are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years FP&A, Business Controlling, Financial Planning, or Corporate Finance experience.
• Previous experience within Real Estate, Property, Asset Management, Construction, or a related sector is strongly preferred.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with reporting and BI tools such as Power BI.
• Experience working with ERP systems and large datasets.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English is essential; Dutch is highly preferred for local stakeholder exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across the business.
• Prepare monthly management reports, financial dashboards, and performance analyses.
• Monitor and analyse portfolio performance, business trends, and key financial KPIs.
• Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Asset Management, Investments, and Operations to support commercial decision-making.
• Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support investment appraisals, acquisitions, and strategic projects.
• Support cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning activities.
• Contribute to business cases, board reporting, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvements in reporting processes, systems, and financial controls.
• Deliver meaningful insights and challenge assumptions through proactive financial analysis.
