QuantWare in Delft seeks an R&D Software Engineer to elevate production-grade software for measurement and data practices in VIO-related R&D. You will standardize experimental workflows, link data across devices, and collaborate across R&D, Product, and Operations to scale software and data capabilities.

You will develop robust Python code, manage measurement data, and drive improvements from prototype to production, enabling faster analysis and root-cause investigations in a multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• MSc in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or similar.
• 3+ years of industry experience (must).
• Experience building software that interacts with hardware (manufacturing, test & measurement, lab or factory automation, or control systems).
• Hands-on experience in control of test and measurement equipment is a plus; quantum device foundry/test facility is a strong plus.
• Strong Python with a track record of improving and maintaining code for data acquisition, automation, or scientific pipelines.
• Experience with databases and cloud computing suites like GCP and AWS for technical/experimental data.
• Good practices: OO design, Git, code review, testing frameworks.
• Strong drive to eliminate manual measurement and analysis overhead.
• Comfortable in a multidisciplinary scale-up, aligning with Ops and Product teams.

Responsabilités

• Data management: store and link R&D measurement data and metadata for cross-device comparisons.
• Turn measurement prototypes into robust, tested, maintainable code for VIO devices and PCM test vehicles.
• Refactor and maintain modular Python code with automated tests, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Collaborate with experimental physicists, RF test engineers, and electrical engineers to improve measurement code.
• Own R&D software functionality through validation, review, and integration.
