Job summary

QuantWare is seeking an R&D Software Engineer to elevate production-grade software and data practices for VIO measurement work. You will scale data organization for analysis, yield, and root-cause investigations, and standardize experimental workflows as device counts grow.

You will bridge R&D with Product software and Operations data teams to ensure alignment and robust delivery across hardware and software domains.

Qualifications

• MSc in Computer Science or Electrical/Engineering and 3+ years of industry experience.
• Experience building software that interacts with hardware in manufacturing, test/measurement, lab, or automation contexts.
• Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment; quantum device foundry or test facility is a strong plus.
• Strong Python skills with a track record of data acquisition, automation, or scientific pipelines.
• Experience with databases and cloud platforms like GCP and AWS for technical data.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, Git workflows, code review, and testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Data management: store and link R&D measurement data and metadata across tests, devices, and history.
• Develop and maintain measurement software for VIO devices and test vehicles, ensuring robustness and maintainability.
• Refactor and maintain modular Python code with automated testing (PyTest), CI/CD, and proper docs.
