Job summary

QuantWare in Delft is seeking an Experimental Quantum Engineer - R&D to join our hardware engineering team. You’ll drive cryogenic infrastructure, develop Python-based control and data analysis workflows, and help characterise next‑gen quantum devices.

You’ll collaborate with world‑class experts in a fast‑moving environment, with emphasis on reliability studies, cross‑disciplinary work, and hands-on experimentation.

Qualifications

• MSc in Physics or related field with quantum focus.
• Hands-on cryogenic operation and maintenance experience.
• Strong Python for data analysis and control.
• Familiar with Git and instrument control workflows.

Responsibilities

• Cryogenic Infrastructure Management: operate and upgrade cryostats and related setups.
• Measurement & Code Development: Python routines for high-throughput characterisation.
• Prototype Characterisation & Analysis: perform precise measurements and data interpretation.
• Reliability & Scaling: design experiments to scale throughput.
• Reporting & Process Standardisation: document experiments and data pipelines.
