Job summary

Verkade, part of pladis Global, seeks a passionate R&D Packaging intern to support packaging innovations. You will work on data management, visuals, and trials across European sites in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred candidates are 3rd/4th year students in Food Science packaging or related fields, with strong Excel skills and English proficiency. Dutch is advantageous, and the internship lasts five to six months, five days a week.

Qualifications

• 3rd or 4th year Bachelor or Master in a related field.
• Proficient at managing large data sets and Excel.
• Strong written and spoken English; Dutch is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Structure and maintain a technical central data base for packaging material and finished product specs for European sites.
• Create and update the packaging visual standards (VST) for the product portfolio.
• Assist in trial execution, pilot plant testing and reporting.
• Assist the packaging technologist with plant troubleshooting and data collection.
• Own a project on recycle-ready packaging under supervision of the Head of Packaging.
• Ensure work is carried out safely, following GMPs.
• Support scheduling of tasks and resource needs with the Head of Packaging.
• Record work and report results and recommendations.
