R&D Oncology Internship: Bioinformatics & Lab Feasibility

Job summary

GenDx invites applications for a challenging internship in the R&D Oncology team. The project will begin with broad bioinformatic and clinical scoping across multiple onco-genic viruses, followed by focused wet-lab feasibility testing of selected assay concepts.

Education requirements include HBO BASc or WO BSc/MSc in biology or related life sciences, with DNA/RNA techniques and preferred bioinformatics skills. Commuting distance from Utrecht is required.

Qualifications

• Education: HBO (BASc) or WO (BSc or MSc) in biology, biology and medical lab research (MBL), life sciences, medical biology, or molecular biology.
• Availability: From February 2027, for at least 5-6 months, fulltime (40 hours/week).
• Skills: DNA/RNA techniques, preferably also bio-informatics.
• Commuting distance from Utrecht office during the internship period.

Responsibilities

• Assist in broad bioinformatic and clinical scoping across multiple onco-genic viruses and cancer types.
• Support wet-lab feasibility testing of assay concepts.
• Collaborate with the R&D Oncology team on project activities.
