Job summary

JDE Peet's zoekt een New Product Development Stagiair voor ons hoofdkantoor in Utrecht, start maart 2027. Je voert zelfstandig een onderzoeksproject uit rond receptontwikkeling in koffie en assisteert in teamactiviteiten zoals proevingen en conversie van recepten.

Je werkt five days per week, met vier dagen op kantoor en één dag thuis. Een masteropleiding in Food Science/Chemistry is vereist; je beheerst MS Office en Engels vloeiend.

Qualifications

• Ingeschreven in een masterprogramma gedurende de gehele stage.
• Sterke MS Office-vaardigheden en vloeiende Engelse communicatie.
• Gestructureerde aanpak, gemotiveerd en energiek.
• Beschikbaarheid: minimaal 5 maanden van maart 2027 tot augustus 2027.

Responsibilities

• Experimenten leiden en uitvoeren in laboratorium of pilot plant.
• Data-analyse: trends identificeren en oplossingen voorstellen.
• Kennisvastlegging door SOPs en best practices opstellen.

Job Description

Join us as New Product Development Intern at our international headquarters in Utrecht, starting in March 2027. In this internship, you will execute your own research project related to recipe development in black coffee and/or milk-based coffee products and you will also assist the general activities of the team like organizing tastings, new recipe development as well as shelf-life analysis.

Your key activities will be:

• Experimentation and Optimization: Leading and conducting experiments in the laboratory or pilot plant.
• Data Analysis: Analysing data to identify trends and propose innovative solutions.
• Knowledge Capture: Contributing to knowledge sharing by developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and \"best practices\" for process technology improvement.
• Presentation: Delivering presentations on findings, outcomes, and final project presentations.

Qualifications

Are you bursting with fresh ideas and a hunger for learning? We want you!

• Academic Program: You are enrolled in a master's program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in Food Science, Chemistry or Food technology
• Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English - Having some similar hands-on experience with food research activities is always a benefit.
• Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 5 months to this internship, preferably from March 2027 to Augustus 2027.
• Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week, including four days in-office and one day remotely, ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence.

• You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
