Job summary

JDE Peet’s invites you to join as R&D Sensory & Consumer Science Intern at our international headquarters in Utrecht, starting September 2026. You will support the Sensory & Consumer Science Team and assist with designing studies using statistical techniques for data interpretation.

The internship runs five months, with 4 days in the office and one day remote, and offers a €525 monthly allowance, travel compensation if no public transit card, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a BSc or MSc program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in Food Science or Technology with a background in Sensory/consumer Science.
• Strong MS Office skills and fluent English (spoken and written).
• Structured, proactive, and able to work in a team and independently.

Join us as R&D Sensory & Consumer Science Intern at our international headquarters in Utrecht, starting in September 2026. • Supporting the set-up and briefing of researches.
• Analysing sensory and/or consumer studies (using various statistical tools).
• Reporting and presenting the results.

Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Academic Program: You are enrolled in a BSc or MSc program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in Food Science or Technology with a background or understanding of Sensory and/or consumer Science.
• Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English – Having some similar hands‑on experience with food research activities is always a benefit.
• Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 5 months to this internship, preferably from September 2026 to February 2027.
• Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week, including four days in‑office and one day remotely, ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence.

• Your internship should be included in your study curriculum and directly contribute to your academic results.
• Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JDE Peet's and when joining our Research departments, also sign an NDA agreement for internships.
• You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non‑EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
