Join JDE Peet’s in Utrecht as a New Product Development Intern starting in March 2027. You will execute a research project related to recipe development in black coffee and milk-based coffee products, while supporting team activities such as tastings, new recipe development, and shelf-life analysis.

Your role includes leading experiments, analyzing data, capturing knowledge via SOPs, and presenting findings.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a master's program for the duration of the internship.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; strong MS Office skills.

Job Description

Join us as New Product Development Intern at our international headquarters in Utrecht, starting in March 2027. In this internship, you will execute your own research project related to recipe development in black coffee and/or milk-based coffee products and you will also assist the general activities of the team like organizing tastings, new recipe development as well as shelf-life analysis.

Your key activities will be:

Experimentation and Optimization: Leading and conducting experiments in the laboratory or pilot plant.

Data Analysis: Analysing data to identify trends and propose innovative solutions.

Knowledge Capture: Contributing to knowledge sharing by developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and “best practices” for process technology improvement.

Presentation: Delivering presentations on findings, outcomes, and final project presentations.

Qualifications

Are you bursting with fresh ideas and a hunger for learning? We want you!

Here's what we're looking for:

Academic Program: You are enrolled in a master's program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in Food Science, Chemistry or Food technology

Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English – Having some similar hands‑on experience with food research activities is always a benefit.

Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.

Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 5 months to this internship, preferably from March 2027to August 2027.

Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week, including four days in-office and one day remotely, ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence.

Your internship should be included in your study curriculum and directly contribute to your academic results.

Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JDE Peet's and when joining our Research departments, also sign an NDA agreement for internships.

You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
