Job summary

PREZIS, a defense technology company, seeks a Cyber Security Officer to own cybersecurity governance and maintain the security plan, translating requirements into effective technical and organizational measures.

You will work with IT management, leadership, and NBIV to protect availability, integrity and confidentiality of digital assets, oversee security controls, incident response, and risk monitoring, and ensure continuity across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT Infrastructure, or related field.
• Relevant professional certifications in information security, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
• Practical experience in cybersecurity governance, IT security, or similar roles with sensitive information.
• Knowledge of ABRO 2026 and ABDO requirements; translate into practical controls.
• Experience with security plans, audits, risk assessments, incident response, access management, and monitoring.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, remote administration, configuration management, and change control.
• Ability to advise management independently with seniority and drive corrective action.
• Structured, hands-on approach with strong communication and integrity.
• Dutch nationality; security clearance eligibility.

Job Description

As Cyber Security Officer, you take ownership of cybersecurity governance and oversight at PREZIS. You develop and maintain the cybersecurity section of our Security Plan and ensure that security requirements are translated into effective technical and organizational measures.

You work closely with IT management, the Security Officer, project teams, and leadership to protect the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of digital Interests to be Protected. You oversee the implementation of security controls, assess system changes, coordinate incident response, and monitor compliance.

You act as the primary contact for NBIV and relevant authorities on digital security matters. You have direct and independent access to the management, with the mandate to make security decisions, require corrective action, and elevate risks. Where Deputy Cyber Security Officers are appointed, you coordinate their activities and ensure continuity across locations and areas of specialization.

Key Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Governance & Compliance

• Lead daily cybersecurity management and ensure compliance with ABRO 2026 and applicable ABDO requirements.
• Maintain the cybersecurity section of the Security Plan and update it following operational changes, incidents, or evolving threats.
• Act as the primary contact for NBIV on cybersecurity matters and advise management independently on risks and necessary measures.

IT Security & Access Management

• Oversee IT security controls, system changes, monitoring, and remote connections to protect sensitive information and infrastructure.
• Maintain oversight of digital protected information and assets, including their location, handling, and authorized access.
• Approve security-sensitive account actions, access exceptions, and the removal of equipment or information in accordance with applicable procedures.

Audits & Incident Response

• Conduct periodic compliance reviews and annual self-inspections, report findings to management and NBIV as required, and oversee corrective actions.
• Coordinate cybersecurity incident reporting, investigation, and response, and support NBIV audits and investigations.

Awareness & Continuity

• Strengthen employee awareness of cybersecurity procedures and responsibilities.
• Coordinate Deputy Cyber Security Officers and ensure effective handover and cover during absences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional competence in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT Infrastructure, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications demonstrating knowledge of information security, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
• Practical experience in cybersecurity governance, IT security, or a comparable role involving sensitive information and regulated environments.
• Demonstrable knowledge of ABRO 2026 and applicable ABDO requirements, with the ability to translate them into practical controls.
• Experience with security plans, audits, risk assessments, incident response, access management, and security monitoring.
• A sound understanding of IT infrastructure, remote administration, configuration management, and system change control.
• Sufficient autonomy, authority, decisiveness, and seniority to advise management independently and drive corrective action.
• A structured, hands‑on approach, strong communication skills, and a high level of integrity.
• Dutch nationality
• Ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required at the highest applicable level for PREZIS’ Special Contracts before undertaking duties requiring that clearance.
• Preferred: Experience within defense, aerospace, or another regulated high-tech environment; experience coordinating security across multiple locations or specialist teams.

Employment Type

This is an employed position with PREZIS. Working hours and contract duration will be agreed with the successful candidate.

Formal appointment as Cyber Security Officer is subject to nomination by PREZIS management, approval by NBIV, and completion of the applicable screening and appointment requirements.
