Job summary

Groove Quantum is building the scalable quantum computer of the future in Delft, Netherlands. As a Quantum Fabrication Engineer, you will own and drive process development and fabrication of next-generation quantum devices, collaborating with an international team to advance our platform from concept to robust production-ready modules.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, chemical engineering, physics, or a closely related field.
• Hands-on nanofabrication in a cleanroom/R&D environment.
• Experience developing and optimising fabrication processes (e-beam lithography, etching, deposition, oxidation).
• Practical experience designing devices and test patterns using mask layout software.
• Strong communication and collaboration in an international English-speaking team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise, and validate in-house cleanroom fabrication process modules for semiconductor quantum devices.
• Independently drive process development from experimentation to cleanroom handover.
• Design and fabricate test structures to evaluate processing steps.
• Transfer mature, validated process modules to characterization engineers and full device fabrication runs.
• Collaborate with experimentalists, theorists, heterostructure specialists, and fabrication engineers.
