Job summary

QuantWare in Delft is seeking a mid-level Fabrication Engineer to join our Operations team in a hybrid work setting. You will operate wafer-scale fabrication tools, contribute to process development, and help improve yield for superconducting devices.

The role emphasizes clear documentation, collaboration with R&D and production, and maintaining tight process controls in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial or academic cleanroom.
• Basic knowledge of semiconductor or superconducting device fabrication.
• Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate across R&D and production.
• Organized and detail-oriented; able to document work and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Wafer-scale fabrication/Tool operation: Operate and own cleanroom processes (e.g., sputtering, etching, evaporation) for superconducting devices.
• Process development: Work closely with R&D to transfer and standardize fabrication processes for production.
• Yield improvement: Collect and analyse process data to identify root causes and improve fabrication yield and reproducibility.
• Documentation & standardization: Maintain clear process documentation, recipes, and SOPs to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
