Job summary

Single Quantum in Delft is seeking an Electronics Engineer to design and optimize electronics for our photon detection systems. You will translate prototypes into production-ready hardware and collaborate across physics and engineering teams.

The role offers the chance to shape test setups, improve performance, and lead documentation, specifications, and file structures for scalable quantum instruments in a fast-growing, international environment.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
Ability to communicate effectively across teams (physicists to engineers).
Strong implementer who turns ideas into working hardware.
Excellent organizational habits: writing specs and standardizing design files.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize electronics within photon detection systems.
Build and refine test setups to characterize and improve electrical performance.
Translate prototypes into scalable, production-ready electronics.
Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and refine electronic components.
Lead outsourcing, specification writing, and documentation (spec sheets, manuals, file structures).
