Job summary

Single Quantum in Delft is seeking an Electronics Engineer to design, develop, and optimize electronics for quantum photon detection systems. You’ll build test setups to characterize electrical performance and translate prototypes into scalable, production-ready hardware.

You will collaborate across teams, lead outsourcing, and drive documentation efforts to ensure robust specifications and organized file structures for future development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related technical field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, analytical mindset.
• Ability to communicate effectively across teams from physicists to engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize electronics within our photon detection systems.
• Build and refine test setups to characterize, validate, and improve electrical performance.
• Translate prototypes and concepts into scalable, production-ready electronics.
• Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot, improve, and refine electronic components.
• Lead efforts in outsourcing, specification writing, and documentation (spec sheets, manuals, file structures).

Who We're Looking For..

• A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field;

• Strong implementer: you can take ideas and turn them into working, documented hardware;
• Excellent organizational habits: from writing spec sheets to standardizing design files.;
• The want to strive to improve existing solutions, better specs, improve the cost effectiveness and make more robust solutions.

• Board level circuit design;
• RF: Transmission lines and filter calculations;
• Digital electronics: PCB interfaces, fast logic gates;
