Job summary

Single Quantum in Delft is seeking an Electronics Engineer to design and optimize electronics for next-gen quantum products. You will build test setups, translate prototypes to scalable hardware, and collaborate across physicists and engineers.

The role emphasizes turning ideas into documented hardware, improving specs, and contributing to cost-efficient, robust solutions in a fast-moving, international setting.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.

  • Proven implementer turning ideas into working hardware.
  • Excellent organizational habits: writing spec sheets and standardizing design files.
  • Desire to improve existing solutions, specs, cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize electronics within photon detection systems.
  • Build and refine test setups to characterize, validate, and improve electrical performance.
  • Translate prototypes and concepts into scalable, production-ready electronics.
  • Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot, improve, and refine electronic components.
  • Lead outsourcing, specification writing, and documentation (spec sheets, manuals, file structures).

What You’ll Do:
  • Design, develop, and optimize electronics within our cutting-edge photon detection systems;

We’re searching for a resourceful and practical troubleshooter who can effectively solve problems and fix issues. Additionally, you have...

  • A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, analytical mindset;
  • Ability to communicate effectively across teams - from physicists to engineers and technicians;

The following working experiences are a plus:
  • Board level circuit design;
  • RF: Transmission linesandfilter calculations;
  • Digitalelectronics: PCB interfaces, fast logic gates;
  • Electronicmeasuringsetups with devicessuch as:oscilloscopes, VNA’s, SA’sand AWG’s.
