Job summary

Darwin Engineering is seeking a seasoned Quality Manager to own commissioning quality activities on a major data centre project in the Netherlands. You will oversee inspections, ITPs, documentation and defect management, coordinating with construction and commissioning teams on a large site.

The ideal candidate has data centre experience, an electrical bias is preferred, and you must be able to work independently within a large organisation. A 10 days on / 4 days off rotation applies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quality Manager / QC on major construction or data centre projects.
• Strong commissioning-related quality processes knowledge.
• Previous data centre or mission-critical project experience.
• Electrical bias or electrical engineering background preferred.
• Experience managing ITPs, inspections, walkdowns and quality documentation.
• Strong defect identification, tracking and close-out capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate with construction, delivery and commissioning teams.
• Able to work independently on a large-scale site.
• Experience with commissioning lifecycle and working alongside commissioning teams.
• NL experience advantageous, BSN familiarity.
• Willing to start ASAP and adapt to a 10 days on / 4 days off rotation.

Project focus

Working alongside an established Tier 1 contractor and commissioning team on a major data centre project in the Netherlands. The role will take ownership of quality activities associated with commissioning and handover, including site inspections, quality checks, ITPs, documentation and defect management.

The successful candidate will have a strong commissioning understanding and be comfortable operating independently within a large site organisation.

Key skills and Experience required

• Proven experience as a Quality Manager / QCX / Quality Engineer on major construction or data centre projects
• Strong understanding of commissioning-related quality processes
• Previous experience working on data centre or other mission-critical projects
• Electrical bias or electrical engineering background preferred
• Experience managing ITPs, inspections, walkdowns and quality documentation
• Strong understanding of defect identification, tracking and close-out
• Ability to coordinate effectively with construction, delivery and commissioning teams
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of quality activities on a large-scale site
• Experience working alongside commissioning teams and understanding of the commissioning lifecycle
• MEP Quality Managers with a mechanical background may also be considered where they have strong commissioning and data centre experience
• Able to work a 10 days on / 4 days off rotation, with approximately 10-hour working days
• Existing experience working in the Netherlands is advantageous, particularly familiarity with local registration requirements such as a BSN
