The role:
As part of Siemens Energy projects, we are hiring a Senior Quality Manager to provide quality assurance and quality control, as well as document management, on one of the turnkey projects for the construction of a 400kV High Voltage Substation located in the Netherlands.
The purpose of this mission is to ensure the compliance of the works and their follow-up with quality standards and specifications, as well as customer specifications.
This position requires a good level of English (spoken and written), as interactions with the client are conducted in English.
This post will take place on the GRQ380 construction site in Netherlands/Eemshaven.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Site Quality Assurance / Quality Control
- Implement and execute the contractor's quality assurance and quality control program in accordance with its quality management systems to satisfy the project requirements.
- Ensure that the owner's quality requirements are met.
- Ensure that quality controls comply with applicable procedures.
- Schedule, coordinate and lead quality inspections
- Identify non-conformances and corrective actions to be implemented (Document any deviations from quality standards).
- Manage quality issues and non-conformances process on-site
- Lead weekly QA/QC meetings and support bi-weekly meetings with owner’s quality commissioning team
- Ensure preparation, control and traceability of construction quality documents, including ITPs, Construction Quality Assurance program, Inspection Sheets, BIM360 Checklists, Subcontractor Kick-Off, Benchmark / First-of A Kind, Taking-over / As-Built)
- Update trackers (Quality Construction Overview, Quality KPIs, Test records, logbook open points)
- Manage BIM360 field and asset management in accordance with Owner’s requirements
- Enhance Quality awareness and culture on site (Quality training, Quality surveys)
- Manage documentation flow in Sharepoint, BIM360:
- Administration of Execution Plans on site (Civil Works, Erection / Commissioning)
- Administration of punch-list (client / co-contracting / subcontracting etc.)
- Ensure all team members are working from the same set of documents.
- Keep document stored up to date with the latest information.
- Keep track of document revisions to ensure everyone uses the latest version.
- Records of inspections and tests conducted on-site.
- Ensure documents are backed up and protected against unauthorized access.
- Train staff on how to use the document management system effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of construction experience.
- Minimum 5 years direct experience in QC or commissioning Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing equipment.
- Experience with construction scheduling.
- Experience in project administration or project management.
- Experience managing a quality program.
- Experience in High Voltage Gas Insulated Substation, Control & Protection
