Job summary

Orion Engineering on the Eindhoven production floor seeks a Quality Factory Engineer to improve assembly quality and process efficiency. You will combine hands-on shop-floor activity with strategic improvements, acting as the technical sparring partner for assembly technicians and collaborating closely with the program team to resolve quality issues.

You will lead technical improvement plans, monitor product quality, and participate in EC processes and Lean initiatives, ensuring robust process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree HBO level in a technical field.
• Experience with assembly processes in a mechatronic environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and quality and logistics systems.
• Familiarity with process control in production, including flow, FMEA, control plans.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technology standards.
• Strong analytical, structured and methodical working style.
• Clear communication and fluency in Dutch and English.
• Accuracy, initiative and a strong sense of ownership.
• A team-player attitude, working easily with different disciplines.

Do you like to solve problems right where they happen, on the production line? Do you get energy from work that directly adds value? As Quality Factory Engineer you assess and resolve issues in production, with a lot of autonomy. You do not stop at quick fixes: you also work on structural improvements that last. You combine hands-on work on the shop floor with strategic thinking, which makes this role varied and challenging.

The role

In a high-tech environment, you set up, support and improve the assembly process of mechatronic systems and modules. You keep an eye on the quality of the process and of the products that leave the line, with the aim of raising production quality, progress and efficiency.

You are also the technical sparring partner for the assembly technicians, and you work closely with the program team to solve quality issues and carry out improvement plans.

Your responsibilities

What you bring

• At least a Bachelor's degree (HBO level), preferably in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management or Mechatronics.
• Experience with assembly processes in a mechatronic environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S, and knowledge of quality and logistics systems.
• Familiarity with process control in production, including flow, process FMEA, control plans and related methods.
• Knowledge of industry standards for manufacturing technology.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, methodical way of working.
• Clear and effective communication, and fluency in both Dutch and English.
• Accuracy, initiative and a strong sense of ownership.
