Job summary

Karsten International seeks a Quality Engineer - Electronics for its Amsterdam-based Electronics Quality team. You will ensure product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across our consumer electronics product groups.

You will lead quality reviews, assess test reports, approve packaging and manuals, and coordinate CAPAs with suppliers while guiding project teams and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a comparable technical field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a quality or technical role.
  • Proven knowledge of product safety standards and applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Leading product quality reviews and technical assessments to identify risks and non-conformities in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing, interpreting, and approving internal and external test reports.
  • Reviewing and formally approving packaging, labeling, and user manuals.
  • Creating, tracking, and coordinating CAPAs with suppliers.
  • Advising project teams on specifications, product selection, and quality improvements.
  • Coordinating products through the development cycle from sourcing to shipment.
  • Maintaining up-to-date technical documentation including test reports and declarations.

Job description

We are looking for a Quality Engineer - Electronics for our Electronics Quality team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance within our consumer electronics product groups. You will play a key role in technical decision-making and work closely with Project Management, Buying, Sourcing, and Quality teams.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading product quality reviews and technical assessments to identify risks and non-conformities in a timely manner
  • Reviewing, interpreting, and approving internal and external test reports
  • Reviewing and formally approving packaging, labeling, and user manuals
  • Creating, tracking, and coordinating Corrective and Preventive Action Plans (CAPAs) with suppliers
  • Advising Project Managers, Buying, and Sourcing teams on technical specifications, product selection, and quality improvements
  • Coordinating products throughout the entire development cycle, from sourcing and sample approval to production and shipment
  • Maintaining complete and up-to-date technical documentation, including test reports, declarations, packaging artwork, and user manuals
  • Monitoring relevant laws and regulations and translating changes into practical impact on products and processes

What we are looking for:

  • A technical background with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a comparable technical or scientific field
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a quality or technical role
  • Proven knowledge of product safety standards and applicable laws and regulations
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
