Job summary

ING Mortgages seeks a Master’s student for an internship to study how software quality can be measured and improved at scale. You will analyze QA practices across development teams and design an objective framework for QA maturity in a real-world banking environment.

The role blends academic research with practical software engineering, delivering metrics, automated data collection, and dashboards that provide actionable insights within a hybrid, four-to-six-month internship.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Dutch university and internship must be part of curriculum.
• 4–6 month master internship with hybrid work arrangement.
• You will analyze QA processes and design measurable improvements.

Responsibilities

• Use research skills to compare QA implementations across teams.
• Design a standard Way of Working to improve automation.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and platform teams.
• Define objective QA automation measurements.
• Develop automated metric collection.
• Create dashboards for collected metrics.
• Document the solution, Way of Working guides, and onboarding materials.
• Align with stakeholders on implementation.
