Job summary

Akkuro Lending seeks a QA Lead to own the test strategy across Lending teams, ensuring consistency and high quality in our financial software implementations. You will guide QA practices, coordinate with developers, testers, product owners and customers, and adapt strategies with new tech and evolving risks.

You will help teams manage risks, set testing priorities, and ensure release readiness, with a strong focus on data migration validation and performance testing under peak loads.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in software testing, QA or quality engineering.
• Experience in a lead, coordinating or senior QA role.
• Ability to build support and bring teams along with changes related to quality.
• Experience with test automation and making conscious choices between automated and manual testing.
• Experience with APIs, integrations and complex business processes.
• Experience with testing data migrations and data validation.
• Knowledge of load and performance testing and coordinating these activities.
• Experience with customer-facing software implementations and aligning testing activities with external stakeholders.
• Pragmatic mindset: improving quality without slowing development or delivery.
• Affinity with financial services, lending or other business-critical software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the existing QA and test strategy across Lending teams and adapt it as needed.
• Communicate why decisions around quality, testing and automation are made.
• Identify risks and testing priorities; align releases and complex changes.
• Coordinate with developers, testers, product owners and specialists without taking ownership from teams.
• Coordinate testing with customers during implementations and agree on joint testing approaches and criteria.
• Shape testing and validation when data migrations are involved to ensure data integrity.
• Lead load and performance testing efforts with technical specialists and customers.
• Drive continuous improvements by learning from bugs, regressions and production issues.
