Job summary

Wypoon Technologies is seeking an experienced Python Software Engineer to develop scalable back-end solutions for leading clients in the Netherlands and Belgium. You will join a cross-functional DevOps team on client sites, building microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.

The role emphasizes robust testing, performance optimization, and modern technologies tailored to client needs. Experience with Django/Flask/FastAPI and cloud deployments is valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable solutions: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient back-end code.
• Microservices and APIs: Design, build, and enhance microservices and RESTful/GraphQL APIs to enable seamless system integration.
• Testing frameworks: Implement and maintain tools such as PyTest and Unittest to ensure high code quality.
• Distributed systems: Work with event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka and Redis.
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Use tools like Terraform or Ansible to deploy and manage resources.
• DevOps practices: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure/AWS).
• Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning, peer reviews, and team discussions to continuously improve development processes.
• Documentation: Create and update clear and comprehensive documentation for architecture, processes, and best practices.

Preferred Experience

• At least 8 years of professional experience.
• Advanced proficiency in English (minimum B2 level in speaking, writing, listening, and reading).
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Expertise in Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Proficiency with testing tools such as PyTest or Unittest.
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD).
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architecture using echnologies such as Kafka, Redis, or Celery.
• Hands‑on experience in designing, building, and scaling microservices.
• Proficiency in API design patterns (e.g., RESTful APIs, GraphQL).
• Familiarity with containerization and container management using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Linux systems, including scripting and system management.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with additional programming languages (e.g., Go, Java, or Rust) is a plus.
• Experience with secure coding practices and knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
