Job summary

Van Lanschot Kempen is seeking a Python developer to join a multidisciplinary DevOps team building the next-generation analytics platform for our investment management business. You will collaborate with data engineers and AI teams to improve APIs, and to deliver AI-infused apps that put analysts and portfolio managers in control of their data.

You will work on designing solutions, making architectural decisions, and ensuring high quality and safe software and data.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of recent experience with Python software development.
• A solid understanding of Git and SQL queries.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or others).
• Experience with cloud deployments, preferably Azure.
• Experience with API design and automated testing.
• Curious to understand financial markets and processes.

Responsibilities

• Improve APIs and end-user AI-infused apps.
• Ensure quality control and safe software/data.
• Collaborate with AI teams and data engineers.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into solutions.
