Job summary

VML is seeking a PXM Technology Director in Amsterdam to lead PXM, PIM, MDM and DAM initiatives across regions. You will architect end-to-end product data solutions, guide global teams, and drive cloud-enabled integrations on Azure/AWS.

This role combines hands-on technical direction with leadership and presales input, supporting international client projects. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in software, strong Syndigo/Salsify experience, and lives in the Netherlands with a valid work permit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of overall experience in software development.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with Syndigo and Salsify.
• Experience managing product and asset data, PLM systems, data models, and lifecycle processes.
• Ability to develop and configure PIM instances, manage MDM configurations, and perform PIM operations.
• Understanding of data quality and governance workflows, import/export processes, and data relationships.
• Currently living in The Netherlands with a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital projects across regions using Salsify, Syndigo, Akeneo, DAMs and Azure/AWS integrations.
• Support presales with end-to-end architectures, defining technology strategy and north-star vision.
• Build and manage systems for product data and digital content used on the digital shelf and marketing platforms.
• Coordinate global rollouts of PIM, MDM and DAM systems to ensure consistent product information.
• Work with global technology teams to plan digital strategies and improve ways of working.
• Guide cross-functional teams to deliver integration projects on time and foster collaboration.
