Job summary

Van Oord in the Netherlands invites motivated students to join our project teams as interns focused on civil engineering, infrastructure and water management. You will be embedded in a professional environment from day one, gaining practical experience on real projects and learning by doing alongside experienced colleagues.

You are pursuing an MBO or HBO qualification in a technical field, such as Civil Engineering, speak Dutch and English, and live in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• You are studying for an MBO or HBO qualification in a technical field, such as Civil Engineering.
• You have a good command of Dutch and English.
• You are an enthusiastic student with an interest in technology.
• You have strong communication skills.
• You currently live in the Netherlands.
• You are available from February 2026.

Responsibilities

• Preparing reports.
• Carrying out soil investigations and measurements.
• Checking the quality of materials.
• Providing operational support on one of our projects.
• Taking ownership of your internship and shaping it around your learning goals.
