Job summary

Oceanco, based in the Netherlands at our Zwijndrecht facility, seeks a senior project manager for large-scale yacht refits. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage tenders, and ensure delivery on time and within budget while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, expert stakeholder management, and a track record of complex technical project delivery in a luxury yacht environment. Join a leading international yacht builder and grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant technical discipline.
• Proven solid experience managing full refit tender and proposal processes, from scope definition to contract award
• Proven solid experience in project management within complex technical environments
• Proven strong commercial awareness combined with technical understanding
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously
• You recognize yourself in the following competencies: Helicopter view, Decisiveness, Customer orientation, Anticipating
• Proficient in MS Office applications and familiar with project management and reporting tools

Responsibilities

• Manage the full refit tender and proposal process, from scope definition to contract award.
• Build strong relationships with clients, owners’ representatives, and key project partners.
• Lead multidisciplinary refit projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Coordinate internal teams, co-makers, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout project execution.
• Proactively manage risks, opportunities, changes, claims, and project profitability.
• Act as the main client contact, providing guidance, updates, and project progress reports.
• Prepare and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Coach and support project team members to drive high performance and continuous improvement.
• Report on project status, milestones, risks, financial performance, and key deliverables

Your meaningful purpose:

Realization of Refit projects for large scale custom built yachts from both own brand and competitors brand from acquisition, through proposal management, project management, delivery till the end of the warranty period, OSBIT (On Spec, Work Budget, In time) and compliant with the Oceanco Way of Working, other relevant Oceanco standards, procedures and other applicable national or international rules and regulations in order to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
