32 - 40 hours hbo / wo 3279- 4449 Delft / home
As a Junior Project Manager, you will contribute to the realisation of extraordinary architecture. Not standard construction projects, but complex and unique roof and façade structures that are developed, engineered and realised specifically for each project.
Within our Design & Build organisation, you will work closely with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Engineers, Architects, suppliers and site teams. This will give you insight into every aspect required to successfully deliver a project while building a broad understanding of engineering, planning, finance and execution.
From day one, you will develop towards the role of Project Manager. Under the guidance of experienced Project Managers, we will train you on the job. You will learn how to maintain oversight, manage risks, balance competing interests, and connect and motivate teams to achieve shared goals. You will also learn how to recognise and solve complex technical and process-related challenges.
As you grow, you will take on increasing responsibility. You will independently manage specific project elements and gradually develop into a Project Manager capable of guiding projects from concept through to completion.
No two weeks are the same. You will switch between preparation, design and execution, visit construction sites and remain in constant contact with internal and external project partners. This variety means you will not learn project management from behind a desk, but in the heart of the action. You will see the projects you work on take shape and contribute to structures that define the identity of a building. Examples include the cable-net façades of Rotterdam Market Hall and the glass entrance pavilion of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
We are not necessarily looking for someone with years of experience. Much more important are your curiosity, sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for technology, architecture and collaboration. We offer you the opportunity to develop within one to three years into a Project Manager capable of independently leading project packages and sub-projects.
Contribute to the delivery of technically challenging and architecturally distinctive projects in the Netherlands and internationally.
Learn from experienced Project Managers how to manage international projects in terms of planning, budget, quality and progress.
Work closely with our Project Coordinators, Engineers, Assemblers and Site Installers.
Prepare project schedules, progress reports, meetings and contract documentation.
Independently take responsibility for smaller project elements and sub-projects, gradually taking on more ownership.
Attend project meetings and ensure effective coordination between internal and external teams.
Visit construction sites regularly and see how projects are realised in practice.
Contribute ideas for smart solutions and process improvements.
Support strong collaboration within the project team and learn how to connect and motivate people.
Develop yourself every day through the experience of senior colleagues, challenging projects and multidisciplinary teamwork.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Building Technology, Architecture or Construction Management.
Curiosity, a willingness to learn and an interest in understanding how technology, people and processes come together within a project.
Initiative, confidence to ask questions and a willingness to take responsibility when opportunities arise.
The ability to maintain an overview, work in a structured way and distinguish priorities.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate clearly with different stakeholders.
An interest in exceptional architecture and the technical challenges behind it.
Confidence working in a technical project environment where creativity and precision go hand in hand.
A proactive mindset with the ability to identify risks and work towards clear goals.
Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
A valid EU work permit.
A gross monthly salary between €3,279 and €4,449, depending on your knowledge and experience.
38 days of annual leave based on a full-time (40-hour) contract, in addition to public holidays.
Flexible hybrid working arrangements, combined with the energy and collaboration of our Delft office.
A home-working allowance of €2.45 net per working day.
A smartphone and mobile subscription.
Travel support through our cycle scheme, NS travel card or mileage allowance.
Extensive learning and development opportunities.
Automatic salary progression within your salary scale, without formal performance ratings.
An international project environment where you work alongside specialists from a wide range of disciplines.
A collaborative environment with short lines of communication and colleagues who are eager to share their knowledge.
Plenty of room for initiative, ownership and responsibility from day one.
And of course, plenty of challenge and a great team atmosphere.
