Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Construction & Commissioning Manager to lead offshore HVDC project construction and commissioning, partnering with site leadership to ensure safe, efficient execution. The role emphasizes coordinating site mobilization, planning, and adherence to HSE standards.

You will drive constructability improvements and manage relationships between site and home office, supporting planning, reporting, and continuous optimization of site activities.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in construction, commissioning, or site management in industrial or energy projects.
• Knowledge of HVDC, power plants, EPC projects, or similar large-scale environments.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate handover from Tendering to Construction, including scope, schedule, risks and constructability.
• Prepare initial plans for storage, maintenance, spare parts and site infrastructure.
• Support site start‑up and mobilization; ensure a complete site execution plan.
• Ensure compliance with laws, permits, labor rules and all HSE and training requirements.
• Monitor construction progress, costs, risks and manpower; prepare mitigation actions with Site Manager.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site resources and cost reporting to support efficient execution.
• Represent the site team in interactions with the home office and ensure accurate reporting.
• Drive constructability improvements and lead lessons‑learned activities for future projects.

At Hitachi Energy, you will play a central role in delivering offshore HVDC projects that enable a sustainable energy future. As a Project Construction & Commissioning Manager (PCCM), you support the safe and efficient execution of construction and commissioning activities. You work closely with the Site Manager, project leadership, and specialist teams to ensure seamless site preparation, mobilization, and execution.

You act as a key link between the site and the home office. You coordinate handovers, manage constructability activities, and monitor the overall construction progress. You help ensure compliance with local laws, project guidelines, safety standards, and HVDC processes. You also support planning, reporting, and the continuous optimization of site activities.
