Job summary

Forexx Group B.V. is seeking a Project Lead Mechanical Engineering to lead challenging mechanical engineering projects for unique, fully customised superyachts.

You will steer engineering of technical systems on board and ensure design, planning, budget, suppliers and production stay aligned throughout the project. This role combines technical responsibility with project leadership, offering exposure to a high-end, international environment and the opportunity to see designs come to life from

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• At least three years of relevant work experience.
• Experience leading or coordinating mechanical engineering projects.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical installations and technical systems.
• Knowledge of project management, planning, progress monitoring and budget control.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Independent, structured, and result-oriented working style.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Good command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate an engineering team and manage the complete mechanical engineering scope within a yacht project.
• Coordinate engine rooms, propulsion systems, piping, and onboard installations.
• Ensure timely technical information and production drawings for Production and Procurement.
• Monitor project planning, engineering budgets and progress.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and manage suppliers.
• Oversee technical approvals from authorities and resolve issues during engineering and production.
• Stay involved from initial engineering to yacht delivery.
