Job summary

JD Ross Energy in Amsterdam is seeking a Project Engineer to lead wind, solar and Battery Energy Storage System projects across Europe within our Engineering & Construction team. This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Amsterdam with flexibility for frequent cross-border collaboration.

Project Engineer | Renewable Energy - Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid) - Permanent

Are you an experienced Project Engineer looking to play a key role in delivering renewable energy projects across Europe?

We are partnering with a well-established international renewable energy developer, investor, and operator with over three decades of experience in clean energy. The business has developed and operates a multi-gigawatt portfolio of wind and solar assets worldwide and continues to expand its European footprint through significant investment in renewable generation and energy storage projects.

As part of this growth, they are seeking a Project Engineer to join their Amsterdam-based Engineering & Construction team and lead the delivery of wind farms, solar projects, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across Europe.

The Role:

• Manage and monitor the design, engineering, construction, and operational aspects of renewable energy projects.
• Oversee project planning, schedules, budgets, and execution strategies.
• Ensure project delivery aligns with technical specifications, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, development teams, and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor project costs and provide regular reporting on budgets and forecasts.
• Present progress updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the development team with technical and engineering expertise when required.
• Work alongside legal teams to facilitate the execution of key project agreements, including equipment supply, warranty, and commissioning contracts.
• Liaise with lenders, technical advisors, and financial institutions throughout the project lifecycle.

About You:

• 4+ years of experience in project engineering, construction, or project delivery within the renewable energy sector.
• Demonstrable experience managing complex engineering and construction projects.
• Strong project management and risk mitigation capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of or passion for the renewable energy sector.
