Job summary

Enemix, a pan-European developer of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects, is strengthening its Dutch development capability with two new hires in Utrecht. The role offers ownership of a pipeline from origination through readiness for construction, with mentorship from senior leaders across mid- and late-stage projects.

You will redevelop existing projects, identify new opportunities with DSOs and landowners, and originate new opportunities while managing existing ones, including

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in renewable energy project development or business development.
• Background in planning, land and real estate, ideally including agricultural or larger landowner dealings.
• Interested in grid connection and interconnection topics and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support the redevelopment of the existing project pipeline and identify new opportunities in the market, working with DSOs, landowners and permitting authorities
• Take a small number of late-stage PV and BESS projects (20MW+) through to readiness for construction over the next 6-9 months
• Split time between supporting existing projects and originating new ones, roughly 3-4 days originating and managing your own projects, and 1-2 days on established projects
• Build direct relationships with municipalities, DSOs, landowners and agricultural cooperatives
• Work across the full development lifecycle from greenfield through to financial close, with support in the later stages
• Bring grid connection insight into hybrid PV and BESS project structuring where relevant

This business is a pan-European developer of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects, active across Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, with a combined pipeline exceeding 7.5GW and hundreds of megawatts already in operation or under construction. Locally in the Netherlands, the team operates as part of a wider group of around 15-20 people. They have a long term-perspective on the market, and are increasingly working on some very interesting projects.

The business has had a strong run of recent milestones, including a newly commissioned solar plant in Germany and a recent project acquisition in the UK, and is now looking to strengthen its Dutch development capability with two new hires.

The leadership team here are some of the best mentors in this space with an incredible track record. They can offer some great exposure to early, mid and late stage project development, so this role is really for someone that has a good level of experience in Project Development, but would really like to learn and proggress themselves in to a fully fledged Senior Project Developer.

About the Role

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in renewable energy project development or business development
• A background in planning, business development, or land and real estate, ideally including agricultural or larger landowner dealings; backgrounds purely in sales are less suited to this role
• Candidates from a TSO or DSO project management background are also of strong interest
• BESS experience is preferred, BESS combined with wind or solar is even more interesting; candidates from a pure PV or wind background will also be considered
• A genuine interest in grid connection and interconnection topics
• Fluent Dutch is essential
• An entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable building something from a blank page, a natural problem solver and relationship builder

Pay range and compensation package

Base salary: EUR 60,000-85,000, dependent on experience
