The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering and proven procurement experience, preferably in electronics. The position offers hybrid working options and a salary of up to 6,000 EUR gross per month. You will play a crucial role in supplier selection, cost optimisation, and managing projects that drive innovative smart home solutions.

Are you an experienced buyer with a passion for electronics and a track record in New Product Introduction? Or client is hiring a Project Buyer to join their dynamic operations team at a well‑established Dutch technology company specialising in innovative smart home solutions.

In this role, you'll sit at the heart of the product development process, driving supplier and component selection for NPI projects, collaborating closely with R&D, supply planning, and manufacturing teams, and helping bring cutting‑edge products to market efficiently and cost‑effectively.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading supplier and component selection across New Product Introduction projects
• Partnering with multidisciplinary teams to identify and implement the best sourcing solutions
• Managing tooling and sample orders, and supporting phase‑in/phase‑out planning
• Driving cost optimisation across both new and existing product portfolios
• Bringing suppliers in early to improve design decisions and reduce complexity
• Identifying, controlling, and mitigating purchasing‑related risks
• Supporting the rollout of purchasing strategies and standardisation initiatives

What we're looking for:

• Ideally, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, ideally supported by NEVI qualifications
• Proven experience in a buying or procurement role, preferably in electronics or semiconductors
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, cost modelling, and Total Cost of Ownership
• Solid project management skills and familiarity with product development processes
• A proactive, hands‑on attitude with excellent communication skills in English
• A natural collaborator who can also work independently and push back when needed
• Results‑driven, with a continuous improvement mindset
