Job summary

Neways Electronics International in Echt is seeking a Project Buyer who will be part of a customer team and act as the procurement link from RFQ to NPI, ensuring on-time availability of required products while monitoring lead time, pricing and quality.

You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Quality in a fast-moving, international high-tech environment, enjoying a hands-on role with ample room to grow, a competitive salary, substantial vacation and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level.
• 3+ years of purchasing experience in a production or project-driven environment.
• Knowledge of AS9100 is an asset.
• Knowledge/experience in defense or aerospace is an asset.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support RFQ process with suppliers to obtain best prices and terms.
• Ensure timely availability of materials and services for initial product deliveries.
• Set up systems with pricing and parameters for a smooth handover to operations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering and Quality.

As a Project Buyer, you are part of a customer team in which you represent the procurement function. Our customers are primarily active in the semiconductor and defense industries. In our international high-tech, low-volume, high-mix production environment, you serve as a crucial link between customer requests and our suppliers. You take ownership of the procurement process from RFQ to NPI and ensure that required products are available on time, while keeping a close eye on lead time, pricing, and quality.

What you bring to the team

• A hands-on, can-do mentality

• Strong communication skills and decisiveness; you're used to quickly switching between different stakeholders

• A completed bachelor’s degree (or equivalent level)

• 3+ years of purchasing experience in a production or project-driven environment

• Affinity with or experience in a technical setting

• Knowledge and experience working in accordance with the AS9100 standard are considered an asset.

• Knowledge and experience in the defense and/or aerospace industry are considered an asset.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English (German is a plus)

Your daily responsibilities include

• Supporting Sales during the RFQ process towards our customers; your role is to obtain the right prices and terms from both existing and new suppliers to help Neways win the offer.

• Ensuring timely availability of materials and services to enable initial product deliveries to customers.

• Setting up systems with pricing and parameters to ensure a smooth handover to regular operations.

• Coordinating with stakeholders such as Sales, Engineering, and Quality.
