Job summary

ALTEN Nederland is seeking an experienced Project Lead / Program Manager to drive complex multidisciplinary projects in a high-tech environment. You will lead project teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure delivery from concept to implementation.

The role requires a technical background in Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a related field, with fluency in Dutch and English for close collaboration with Dutch-speaking customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project or programme management within a technical or engineering environment.
• Strong background in software development and/or mechatronic systems.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate complex technical projects and programmes from initiation to delivery.
• Define project scope, planning, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Manage cross-functional teams consisting of software, mechatronics, systems, and engineering specialists.
• Monitor project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely escalation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers and key stakeholders.
• Facilitate decision-making processes and ensure alignment between business and technical objectives.
• Report project status, performance indicators, and financial progress to management.
• Drive continuous improvement in project execution, processes, and team collaboration.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations.
