Eindhoven University of Technology seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor to lead research in III-V photonic integration, developing novel devices and circuits while leveraging the university’s cleanroom facilities.

You will shape an independent research program, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to education by teaching and supervising PhD students in a leading European photonics environment.

Qualifikationen

• Holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
• Strong expertise in cleanroom based fabrication of III/V integrated photonics, or related technologies, or has a track record in fabless circuit design with strong foundry relations.
• Has a clear and distinct research vision and is able to formulate and execute strategically.
• Is able to thrive in a highly multi-disciplinary and team‑oriented environment.
• Has a strong record of scientific accomplishment relative to their career stage, demonstrated through publications, awards, patents, and/or successful grant acquisition.
• Has an affinity with teaching, mentoring and supervision.

Aufgaben

• Develop new research lines on photonic integrated circuit design and/or integration technologies and realize prototype photonic ICs with scientific and real‑world impact.
• Collaborate across disciplines to explore new integrated systems and form paradigms for further miniaturization.
• Teach and develop BSc/MSc courses, supervise PhD students and postdocs, and contribute to lifelong learning goals.
• Acquire research funding from national and European programs and industry collaborations.
