Job summary

TU/e in Eindhoven invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor in photonic integrated circuit design and integration technologies. Develop new research lines, realize prototypes, and collaborate with internal facilities or external foundries to pursue impactful, publishable results.

You will teach and supervise BSc/MSc/PhD students, secure national and European funding (e.g., Horizon Europe, ERC), and contribute to the Beethoven program to attract top talent.

Qualifications

• PhD in EE, AP, or materials science required.
• Strong track record with publications, patents, or grants.
• Experience in photonics or III/V integration preferred.
• Ability to teach and supervise students.
• Collaborative, multi-disciplinary mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop new research lines on photonic integrated circuit design and/or integration technologies.
• Collaborate across disciplines to explore new integrated systems and paradigms.
• Contribute to TU/e’s educational mission by teaching and supervising courses, PhD students and postdocs.
• Acquire research funding from national and European programs and industry collaborations.
• Contribute to the Beethoven program to attract top talent in semicon.
