Eindhoven University of Technology invites applications for a professorship in photonics focusing on III-V and heterogeneous photonic integration. You will lead an independent, internationally visible research program within the PhI group, leveraging TU/e’s Nanolab and collaborations with industry and European partners.

The role includes teaching, supervising PhD students, and pursuing external funding through Horizon Europe, ERC, and national programs.

Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, or closely related field.
• Strong record of research output, awards, patents, or grants.
• Affinity with teaching, mentoring and supervision.

Responsabilités

• Develop new research lines on photonic integrated circuit design and integration technologies.
• Collaborate across disciplines to explore new forms of integrated systems.
• Teach and develop BSc and MSc courses, supervise PhD students and postdocs.
• Acquire research funding from national and European programs and industry.
