Job summary

Scheuten in Venlo zoekt een Productie Operator om met diverse machines glas en aluminium te bewerken. Je start met reguliere taken en groeit mee naar meer machines en werkstations.

Je werkt ongeveer 38 uur per week in een 3-ploegendienst (ochtend/m middag/nacht) met roulatie. Het salaris bedraagt €15,92 per uur plus 23% ploegentoeslag en extra’s zoals reiskostenvergoeding en vakantiegeld.

Qualifications

• Ervaring in een productieomgeving.
• Technisch begrip en interesse in werken met machines.
• Nauwkeurig werken en kwaliteit voeren.
• Goed kunnen samenwerken en zelfstandig kunnen werken.

Responsibilities

• Bedienen en afstellen van productieapparatuur.
• Snijden en bewerken van glas.
• Buigen en bewerken van aluminium profielen.
• assembleren van glasproducten.
• Bedienen van verschillende machines zoals een sealing-machine.
• Controleren en afstellen van machines waar nodig.
• Kwaliteitscontroles uitvoeren.
• Kleine storingen melden.
• Zorg dragen voor een veilige en nette werkplek.
• Leren werken met meerdere machines en werkstations.
• Meer verantwoordelijkheid nemen in het productieproces.

Job description

Wat je gaat doen

As a Production Operator, you will work with different machines and make sure the glass is processed correctly. You will start with a number of regular tasks and gradually learn to work with more machines and workstations. You will work independently, but you are not on your own. Together with your colleagues, you make sure the work is done safely, correctly and neatly. Your tasks include:

• Operating and setting up production machines;
• Cutting and processing glass;
• Bending and processing aluminium profiles;
• Assembling glass products;
• Operating different machines, such as a sealing machine;
• Checking and adjusting machines when needed;
• Carrying out quality checks;
• Reporting small machine problems;
• Checking that the production process is running correctly;
• Working safely and keeping your workplace clean;
• Learning to work with multiple machines and workstations;
• Taking on more responsibility within the production process.

You will work an average of 38 hours per week in a 3-shift schedule. The shifts rotate between early, late and night shifts: 05:30–14:00, 14:00–22:30 and 22:30–05:30. On Fridays, the late shift ends at 23:00. The night shift starts earlier on Sunday evening because the machines need to be started.

• €15.92 gross per hour plus a 23% shift allowance, giving you €19.58 gross per hour;
• €0.25 travel allowance per kilometre, from the first kilometre up to a maximum of 50 kilometres one way;

Functie-eisen

For this position, we are looking for someone who already has production experience and wants to keep learning. You do not need to know everything yet. If you have a technical mindset and enjoy working with machines, this could be a good fit for you.

• Are available full-time;

• Have experience in a production environment;
• Have experience operating machines;
• Have technical understanding or an interest in working with machines;
• Work accurately and care about quality;
• Do not mind physical work;
• Can work independently, but also work well with others;
• Are motivated to learn new machines and tasks;
• Want to develop yourself and grow within the company;
• Speak German, English or Dutch.

Experience in the glass industry is not required. Experience with production machines is a plus. Most importantly, you have a technical mindset, enjoy learning and want to keep improving your skills.
