Job summary

Scheuten in Venlo is een productiebedrijf waarin glas voor woningen, hotels en grote projecten wordt bewerkt. Je werkt in een modern productie-omgeving met een internationaal team en krijgt de kans om te leren werken met een heftruck.

De functie vereist geen hoogopgeleide achtergrond; je werkt fulltime in een 3-ploegendienst met 38 uur per week en maakt kans op een vast contract. Relevante training en veiligheidskleding worden geboden.

Qualifications

• Kennis van Engels is vereist.
• Bereidheid om in 3 ploegen te werken.
• Naleving van veiligheidsvoorschriften en hands-on instelling.
• Graag willen leren en flexibel inzetten.
• Goede computervaardigheden en zelfstandigheid.

Responsibilities

• Verzamelen van glasproducten volgens bestelbonnen.
• Veilig plaatsen van glas op rakken en steunen.
• Controleren of bestellingen compleet zijn en etiketteren.
• Voorzichtig labelen met veiligheidsstickers.
• Bestellingen gereedmaken voor verzending.
• Rijen met glas verplaatsen met een heftruck.
• Eventueel folie op glas aanbrengen.
• Werkplek schoon en veilig houden.

Job description

Wat je gaat doen

You receive an order list and get started. You collect the correct glass products and make sure everything is placed safely on the right racks and supports. Then you check if the order is complete, add the correct safety stickers and prepare the order for shipping.

You will also learn how to work with a forklift. You use the forklift to move the racks with glass and prepare them for transport. Never driven a forklift before? No problem. You do not need to know everything already. We are mainly looking for someone who wants to learn and works carefully and safely.

Your tasks include:

• Collecting glass products based on order lists;
• Placing glass safely on racks and supports;
• Checking if orders are complete;
• Adding safety stickers to the glass;
• Preparing orders for shipping;
• Moving racks with glass using a forklift;
• Applying foil to the glass when needed;
• Keeping the workplace clean and safe.

You will work an average of 38 hours per week in a 3-shift schedule. The shifts rotate between early, late and night shifts: 05:30–14:00, 14:00–22:30 and 22:30–05:30. On Fridays, the late shift ends at 23:00. The night shift starts earlier on Sunday evening because the machines need to be started.

You do not need to be a logistics expert yet. If you have a good attitude and are willing to learn, you are already halfway there.

You:

• Are available full-time;
• Are willing to work in 3 shifts;
• Work carefully and consider safety important;

• Can work independently, but also enjoy working with a team;
• Have a hands-on attitude;
• Are motivated to learn new things;
• Can work well with a computer;
• Preferably have experience in logistics, but this is not required.

Experience with a forklift or a forklift certificate is not required. You will have the opportunity to learn this.
