Job summary

VIP S PMS is seeking an enthusiastic Product Owner to translate strategy into actionable work for an international Scrum team. You’ll collaborate with product and development colleagues to set clear requirements and maintain the backlog, Roadmap, and technical priorities.

You’ll engage with developers, leverage SaaS platforms and Azure technologies, and ensure delivery aligns with business goals. The role emphasizes collaboration, curiosity about technology, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• Experience as Product Owner, Business Analyst or similar role.
• Genuine interest in technology and SaaS.
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams.
• Ability to turn ideas and problems into clear, workable solutions.
• Good analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently within clear frameworks.
• Good command of English; Dutch is a plus.

Our software development department consists of an international Scrum team of Product Owners, Developers, Testers, Product Managers, and a Product Strategist. We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Owner who wants to build the future of hospitality software with us.

What Will You Do?

As Product Owner at VIPS PMS, you’ll work closely with our Product and development team to turn product strategy into clear, practical work. The direction and frameworks are in place. Within those, we give you the freedom to figure out the best way forward.

You don’t need to be a developer. You do need to be curious about technology, comfortable talking to developers and willing to get into the details when needed.

You’ll be involved from idea to delivery. Your work will include:

• Help keep the backlog and roadmap up to date and aligned with the product direction.
• Work closely with our developers to understand technical possibilities, dependencies and trade-offs.
• Work with SaaS platforms, REST/JSON APIs and Azure-based technology.

• Make decisions and move things forward within the frameworks and priorities we have set.
• Keep stakeholders informed and involved where needed.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum way, together with the development team.
• Follow work through to delivery and make sure what we build solves the problem we set out to solve.

A big part of the role is simply working together. You’ll be in regular contact with developers, product colleagues and other stakeholders. Our development team includes colleagues offshore, so being clear, approachable and proactive matters.

• A creative and solution-oriented mindset.
• Good analytical and communication skills.

• The confidence to work directly with developers and ask questions when you don’t understand something.
• Good command of English. Dutch is a plus.
• Affinity with hospitality and travel is a plus.
