Job summary

Akkuro is seeking a Product Owner for the Deventer area to drive value-based prioritisation and roadmapping within the Finance division. You will collaborate with banks, lenders, insurers, advisers, and financial service providers, aligning stakeholders and ensuring a shared vision for the product and customers.

You join the Mortgages business line, contribute to the Force Product Suite platform, and ensure the pricing of offers is fast and accurate for housing options while maintaining

Qualifications

• Have relevant experience (e.g., as a Product Owner or extensive experience as an analyst)
• Are analytical and curious, and can distinguish main issues from details
• Are both goal-oriented and relationship-oriented in your approach

Product Owner

Location: Deventer, Netherlands

Hours: Full-time (32-40 hours)

The impact you will make as a Product Owner

You collaborate closely with diverse stakeholders to prioritise features and improvements. Based on value, you set priorities for your teams and ensure the most efficient distribution of work. You do this by building, together with other Product Owners, a shared vision and roadmap — for the product, our internal organisation, and our customers.

You continuously align with both internal and external stakeholders. You ensure customers are actively involved in new developments within your area of focus and encourage their contribution to implementation. For new initiatives, you involve customers early as subject‑matter experts to create buy‑in and move forward together. You also safeguard the technical relevance and currency of the software within your scope, ensuring solutions remain both functionally and technically future‑proof.

What you will do as a Product Owner

Together with banks, lenders, insurers, advisers, and financial service providers, we develop smart IT solutions within the Finance division. Our systems process financial data efficiently, present it clearly, and play a central role in our customers’ product development. Our strength lies in connecting different systems so that consumers and underwriters can view and manage all information in one place — delivering financial impact through IT across the sector.

You will join the Mortgages business line and work with our Force Product Suite (FPS) platform, which supports mortgage lenders in processing and assessing mortgage applications. By automating manual, error‑prone processes, we make handling faster, more efficient, and more reliable. Consumers also benefit: they are informed quickly and accurately about their housing options.
Within the platform, your focus area is ensuring that consumers receive an appropriately priced offer as quickly and accurately as possible, so they know exactly under which conditions and at what cost they can realise their housing plans.

You work from a single product backlog within a focus area with three development teams distributed across Topicus Netherlands and Topicus Vietnam, with English as a working language in part.
