Job summary

Akkuro is seeking a Team Lead – Mortgages in Deventer, NL. You will lead multiple Scrum teams across People and Process, guiding developers, analysts, testers and Scrum Masters to deliver high-quality mortgage solutions within plan and budget.

You will coach and develop staff, foster ownership, and drive continuous improvement. You will collaborate with Product Owners and IT Architects to shape the mortgage platform while strengthening your leadership style in a growing, human-focused

The impact you will make as a Team Lead – Mortgages

As a Team Lead at Akkuro Mortgages, you have the opportunity to make a real difference. You lead multiple Scrum teams across People and Process, working on innovative, reliable solutions for the mortgage process. Your teams include developers, analysts, testers, and Scrum Masters. You ensure optimal performance, the right focus, and top-quality results.

We are investing heavily in (personal) leadership. Over the next two years, guided by the Operational Lead, we are building a group of Team Leads collectively responsible for more than 100 professionals. You will have the freedom to shape your own leadership style and, together with fellow Team Leads, further grow the success of our Scrum teams. These teams are clustered by domain, and you will work closely with a dedicated Product Owner and DevLead/IT Architect to deliver the best results.

What you will do as a Team Lead – Mortgages

You provide direction to both people and software development. You lead multiple IT development teams and are the first point of contact for everything happening within those teams. You combine a strong focus on People and Process with the ability to drive continuous improvement with your teams.

You foster ownership and professional growth by coaching and guiding colleagues throughout the employee life cycle. With attention to individual ambitions and collective outcomes, you build strong teams based on craftsmanship, trust, and collaboration.

You ensure teams deliver what matters: high-quality solutions, predictably and efficiently, aligned with plan and budget. You continuously safeguard software and process quality in line with our shared Way of Work and customer expectations.

What you bring as a Team Lead — Mortgages

You follow developments in software engineering with interest, making you a strong discussion partner for team members and stakeholders. You are motivated to guide others in their development, fostering engagement, and are not afraid of candid conversations when needed.

We also value:

• At least 2 years’ experience leading Scrum teams in an IT environment
• The courage to ask critical questions and provide motivating feedback — both at team level and 1:1
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present ideas persuasively to build buy-in
• Sound organizational awareness
• Development experience (preferred)
• Demonstrable knowledge of the Scrum framework
• Strong planning and organizational skills with a results focus
