Job description

Description

At Amazon Devices & Services, we imagine the future, and then create it. Join brilliant minds to build new categories of technology that become part of everyone's everyday life. Together, we create connected experiences that transform lives, communities, and the world with our work.

The Amazon Alexa International team is looking for a Product Manager to own and shape the Alexa experience for customers in the Netherlands.

In this role, you will contribute to the product vision and roadmap for Alexa in the NL marketplace — identifying customer opportunities, setting priorities, and driving execution across a complex, cross-functional landscape. You will work backwards from Dutch customers to determine what a truly delightful, locally relevant voice assistant experience looks like, and then make it happen.

This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity. You won't always be handed a defined problem — you'll need to use your judgment, customer insight, and analytical skills to determine the right goals and design long-term solutions. We are looking for a candidate who combines deep customer empathy with strong business judgment and the ability to navigate technical trade-offs. You should be comfortable making decisions with incomplete data, taking calculated risks in pursuit of ambitious goals, and balancing short-term delivery with long-term architectural integrity.

If you are passionate about voice AI, love building products that delight millions of customers, and want to shape the future of Alexa in the Netherlands, we look forward to your application.

Key job responsibilities
  • Contribute to the product vision and strategy for Alexa in the Netherlands: define the what and why, not just the how, working backwards from Dutch customer needs and market dynamics

  • Drive the product roadmap end-to-end: identify opportunities, prioritize effectively, and deliver measurable customer experience improvements

  • Navigate ambiguity; problems and approach may not be defined. Use expertise, customer insight, and data to determine the right goals and design long-term solutions

  • Be the Voice of the Customer: conduct or commission customer research, usability studies, and market analysis to distinguish representative signal from anecdotal feedback across the Dutch customer base

  • Drive data-informed decisions: define success metrics, analyze data and customer behaviour, and identify the highest-leverage opportunities for improvement

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, science, design, localization, marketing, legal, and operations teams: influence without authority to build alignment across teams with different priorities

  • Own launches and post-launch performance: drive awareness, adoption, and continuous optimization of the Alexa experience in NL

  • Contribute to organizational planning: participate in OP1/OP2 planning, write narratives (6-pagers, PR/FAQs), and drive product discussions with Senior Managers and Directors

  • Evaluate technical trade-offs: understand how technology choices influence customer outcomes, ask the right questions, and balance feature delivery with sustainability

About the team

This role is part of the Alexa International organization, which develops and supports the Alexa experience across all international markets. You will operate within the DEFRITESNL team, working closely with country teams across Europe while contributing to the NL marketplace roadmap. The team is passionate about building locally relevant, delightful experiences powered by AI technology.

Possible locations for this role are Munich, Paris, or Amsterdam.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services

  • Native-level (C2) fluency in written and verbal Dutch including cultural fluency, including regional humour, tone, idiom, and social context

  • Experience with product management, including experience owning product vision and roadmap for a consumer-facing product

  • Experience with product localization and building locally relevant customer experiences

  • Experience working with and influencing engineering teams on priorities and trade-offs

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing

  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship

  • Experience with voice/AI products, conversational interfaces, or natural language technologies
