Job summary

ASICS EMEA zoekt een ervaren productontwikkelaar voor sportkleding in Hoofddorp. Je werkt nauw samen met designteams, PM's en leveranciers wereldwijd en gebruikt je expertise in garment construction en materialen om producten te optimaliseren voor prestaties en commerciële doelen.

Je beheert de productontwikkelingscyclus van concept tot bulkorder, werkt zelfstandig en draagt bij aan exacte data-entry in systemen, met focus op realistische kostprijsdoelstellingen en tijdige goedkeuring.

Qualifications

• 4–5 jaar relevante ervaring in kleding/sportswear.
• Expertise in garment construction, pattern-making en fitting.
• Vaardig in Excel met VLOOKUP en draaitabellen.
• Kennis van 3D sampling software, Photoshop en Illustrator.
• Ervaring in een internationale omgeving.
• In staat zelfstandig te werken met georganiseerd en samenwerkend karakter.
• Persoonlijke interesse in tennis.

Responsibilities

• Ontwikkelen van stijlen en collecties met PMs, designteams en leveranciers.
• Onderzoeken en toepassen van innovatieve materialen en constructiemethoden.
• Bevorderen van cross-functionele samenwerking in productontwikkeling.
• Samenwerken met Material leads voor stoffen/trim en tests.
• Kosten reviewen bij eerste prototypes en afstemmen op FOB-prijs en marge.
• Zorgdragen voor tijdige finalisatie en goedkeuring voordat bulkorders plaatsvinden.
• Aanmaken en bijhouden van tech packs, specificaties en maat tabellen.

Job description

Bij ASICS draag je vanuit het EMEA-hoofdkantoor in Hoofddorp, nabij Amsterdam, bij aan de ontwikkeling van innovatieve apparel van concept tot realisatie. Je werkt nauw samen met designteams, productmanagers en wereldwijde leveranciers om vooruitstrevende sportswearcollecties te creëren. Daarbij zet je je technische expertise in op het gebied van garment construction en materialen om te zorgen dat producten voldoen aan zowel prestatienormen als commerciële doelstellingen, terwijl je cross-functionele samenwerking stimuleert gedurende de volledige product development lifecycle.

Je rol is van grote betekenis binnen deze samenwerking: je brengt unieke perspectieven in en stimuleert innovatie bij elke stap.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Develop styles and collections in collaboration with Product Managers, design teams, and suppliers to bring concepts to life.
• Research and implement innovative technologies, materials, and garment construction methods to enhance product development.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient product development processes.
• Partner with Material leads on fabric and trim recommendations whilst overseeing physical and functional testing.
• Review costs at first prototype stage and collaborate on adjustments to meet target FOB prices and profit margins.
• Ensure timely product finalisation and approval before bulk orders whilst maintaining adherence to calendars.
• Create and maintain tech packs, specifications, size tables, and fabric and trim selections with accurate and timely data entry in systems.

You have the following skills:

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in the garment or sportswear industry.
• Expertise in garment construction, pattern-making, and fitting techniques.
• Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Knowledge of 3D sampling software, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Able to work independently, with strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset and flexibility.
• Personal interest in tennis.
