Making Waves is seeking an experienced Producer to lead end-to-end productions in the Netherlands and abroad. You will translate artistic plans into tightly organized live events, coordinating teams, venues, suppliers and international partners. You’ll manage budgets and ensure on-time delivery of complex shows.
You’ll join a creative, ambitious team producing varied events from theatre to large-scale festivals, with opportunities to work internationally from Amsterdam.
We’re looking for an experienced producer who will help build our next chapter, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Someone who effortlessly translates complex artistic plans into tightly organized productions, thinks along with growth, and can handle the scale of our international ambition.
As a Producer, you are responsible from start to finish for productions that bring image, music and experience together into unique live events.
Making Waves is an ambitious events organisation active in the dance and theatre sectors. With brands like Cinema in Concert, ZeeZout, By the Creek and Ohm Festival, we produce a wide variety of live events: from film concerts in Het Concertgebouw and large-scale concerts in Rotterdam Ahoy to unique festivals, club nights and distinctive cross-over events.
From Amsterdam we create unforgettable experiences. We develop and produce our events fully in-house: from concept and production to marketing and bookings. Driven by quality, creativity and a distinctive audience experience.
As a Producer at Making Waves you are responsible for the full production of your events.
You independently lead productions end-to-end. You keep the overview, lead teams and are the central point of contact for all parties involved — from orchestras and film studios to venues, suppliers and international partners. You ensure complex productions run smoothly, on schedule and within budget.
Together with four colleagues, you form the production team responsible for producing all of our own events, from festivals to concerts.
For each production you lead the team and safeguard the budget. You also pick up hands-on production work yourself and report directly to our Head of Production.
We’ll get back to you quickly after your application.
The process consists of at least two interviews, in which we’d like to get to know you and dive deeper into your experience and vision.
If there’s a good match, we may invite you to come along to one of our productions, so you get a direct sense of the role and working environment.
